Why the Height of a Footstool is Important

Footstools are a great piece of furniture to have in any home but the problem with them is that most people get them as part of a set of furniture. This means that you donĂ¢??t have much say about what size the footstool is or the height. If you think about the function of the footstool then you will see that it is more than just a decorative piece of furniture.

Footstools are for putting your feet up and they are particularly useful for those who have problems with their feet or ankles. Anyone with poor circulation will benefit from using footstools as will those who suffer with water retention and swelling.

Most footstools that you buy as part of a set will be level with the sofa or chair. However for those with problems in their lower extremities, it may be necessary to have a footstool that elevates the feet higher. Thankfully, if you donĂ¢??t have a footstool that is the right height for you, you can simply put a cushion under your feet to raise them up a bit.
